This is an absolutely gorgeous, high-back, mesh office chair. It’s modern and stylish, and is designed for maximum comfort. This chair has a complete range of motion. It swivels in a complete 360 degree circle, and it is equipped with a pneumatic gas lift, so you can raise and lower the chair with a simple pull of a lever. It tilts back, but also has a tilt lock, so you can keep the chair upright if you like. It also has a tilt tension control, so you can make the tilt as stiff or flexible as you like. In addition to a great range of adjustment, this mesh office chair is ergonomically crafted to keep you comfortable for hours of long sitting. This is a high-back chair, with a 26.5 inch tall seat back. It features a trimmed, padded head rest. This chair also has passive trimmed lumbar support bolster. Few chairs, if any, in this price range have these great features. In addition, this chair features a contoured padded seat. Seating is constructed entirely of a black mesh fabric that is very breathable. The armrests are textured to be ultra comfortable and are perfectly positioned for resting your arms while typing at a computer. Plus there are reflective accents on the chair arms that make the chair look fabulous in any room. Check out the fantastic chrome base on this chair. Most cheap office chairs have a plain black nylon base. But this chair features a heavy-duty “5 star” chrome base with rolling casters. The heavy-duty double wheels are extra sturdy, and hooded for your safety. The seat size is 19.25 inches at its widest point (between the arm rests) and the depth of the seat is 20 inches. The back is 18 inches at its widest point and 26.5 inches high. The seat adjusts from approximately 18 inches to 22 inches high. Some assembly is required.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    1. Chair came broken, new. Hydrolic system did not work, just as described in many other reviews
    2. The locking mechanism (Recline/upright) never worked properly and would easily pop out, but almost require a hammer to get it to lock in.
    3. After owning this chair for a very short period of time, the cheap plastic wheels have been breaking off one by one. I’ve only had it about 2-3 months and the chair is completely unuseable now.

This is easily one of the most regrettable purchases I have ever made on Amazon. It’s not worth the return, because it cannot be broken down once it is assembled and must be shipped in its full size.

I put one star, but didn’t mean it,I would have preferred 0 stars. It was the only way to get this sent. This chair arrived promptly and was easily assembled. HOWEVER, the mechanism to raise and lower it doesn’t work. I sent the company an e-mail asking for help with this problem and they never bothered to answer. I would not recomment this chair or company to anyone.

After developing lower back pain from spending hundreds of hours in a cheap folding chair (from a card table set, I believe) I decided an upgrade was needed. I spent an afternoon online looking at many chairs, but settled on the Berkshire Executive Mesh Ergonomic because of its description and key buzzwords: ergonomic, lumbar, breathable, adjustable, comfort, executive… At $125 it promised it wouldn’t be made of plastic and poor fabric. I was also impressed by its style. It didn’t look overstuffed and pillowy like a lot of office chairs. It had a sleek, modern aesthetic with shiny chrome armrests and base. I was very excited to receive this chair and assemble it. (Assembly, by the way, was very easy.)

    Then, I sat in it.

I tried sitting very straight. I tried slouching slightly. I tried sitting with my buttocks right against where the seat met the back. I tried inching forward toward the middle of the seat. I tried lowering the chair until my feet were firmly on the ground. I tried raising it until my feet were just barely touching the ground. Nothing I did made this chair any more comfortable. From the pictures it looks like there’s just a little extra padding for lumbar support. In reality, it’s a large, THICK and unforgiving hump that is like a boulder to the back. Sitting against it radiates pain throughout my legs, thighs, buttocks, back and neck. I *hate* it.

So I decided to return it. But I couldn’t get it apart. The pneumatic piston is firmly attached to the base and lift mechanism, and no amount of tugging will separate the pieces. The box that the chair came in is too narrow for the base assembly to fit inside still together. So, I’ll buy a large square box (30x30x30) and return it that way. Except the UPS store wanted eighteen dollars for a box that size. Yeah, I’m not spending that kind of money on cardboard. I guess I’ll keep the damned thing.

Lesson learned: Buy future office chairs from Office Max, not Amazon.

I love this office chair! It supports my lower back well while I am working so I can get more done with less breaks.

This chair was easy to assemble and is working perfectly. It has great support, but doesn’t have a lot of cushion on the seat. Overall, it is very comfortable and professional looking.

Assembly was very easy took about 15-20 minutes mostly without directions, however I did need them when connecting the back of the chair to the base since it was hard to tell if the brackets went under or over. It is exactly as described, however I should have measured how tall I am from my back to the top of my head. I would reccomend you do the same, I’m 6’4″ and leaning back on it with my head actually hurts because my head goes over the top and hits the metal bar holding it together. This would be 5 stars if there was some cushioning on the bar at the top and maybe some cushion on the arm rests as they are pretty solid.
